These boots are really cute and look great but they have not held up well at all. After about 2 weeks of normal (and not daily) wear (errand running, dropping kids at school) the color has worn off the heel area of the boot. I'm disappointed since these weren't the cheap. A few weeks in and these look like an old beat up pair of shoes

I really love these boots. I can't speak for their durability but for the price, you really can't have high expectations. I will be VERY pleased if they last two seasons. That said, what I did this year is I bought 3 pair of very inexpensive boots here at Amazon. I'll rotate my wear of them, so no one pair gets the brunt of too much regular wear. Having done this, I get three pair of boots for less than the price of buying one 'quality' pair. Now, I very well may be choosing quantity over quality (although that is yet to be determined), but this way I can actually afford variety AND I'm aware that the quality might not be top notch, so not only do I rotate wear,BUT I'm careful with them. I treat them gently because they might not be of the quality that you can be rough with them and they will still last. If something does happen to any of the pair I purchased, I plan to have them repaired if possible and chalk it up to wear and tear on a less than great quality product. It will STILL be cheaper than buying a single pair of high quality boots.
Now let me count the ways I love these boots besides the $22.00 price. They're very cute and true to the picture. I like the gold toned buckles which is hard to find in this particular style. They're quite comfortable. And I've already gotten a compliment on them from a HUGE shoe snob (I didn't have the heart to tell the poor dear I paid $22.00 -not including shipping- for them). What I love MOST about them is the buckle straps are actually adjustable to a small degree. I have skinny legs and I discovered that I could actually tighten the straps for a more flattering fit. Even better, there was room to poke an addition hole for a near perfect fit!
In terms of how well they preform in snow and rain? I did not buy them with that purpose in mind. I don't live in a snowy climate. And while I'm sure I will likely wear them on a few rainy days, I'm not expecting them to preform like rain boots. I won't be sloshing through puddles and the like in them. If I needed rain boots, I'd buy rain boots. If I needed snow boots, I'd buy snow boots and I'd expect them to preform accordingly. What I bought was some very cute looking low cost boots. While I HOPE I'll be able to wear them for several seasons with or without minor repair, that is not my expectation. The boots look as if that would be possible and it's icing on the cake if that turns out to be the case, but am I fully expecting a pair of $22.00 boots to preform like a pair of $200.00 boots? No. No one really should. Be gentle with them and be glad if you can get two seasons out of them. Otherwise, buy for quality that you can be more certain of. These might just be for fashion fun and not much more. If that turns out to be the case, what can you expect for $22.00?
